Lifecycle email, done properly

Send like you mean it.

Moos Media builds the email programs consumer brands actually keep — flows, segmentation, creative and the reporting that proves it worked. No blast-and-hope, no vanity metrics.

Selected work

Three programs, three very different problems.

Client names are under NDA, so here are the shapes of the work instead — what was broken, what we changed, and what moved.

+46%

Email revenue in five months

They had one welcome email and a weekly promo to the whole list. We built a nine-step onboarding flow keyed to first-product category, split the list by purchase cadence, and moved discounting into a win-back track instead of the main calendar.

Five-month engagement · 2024

2.9x

Return on email spend

Deliverability had collapsed after a bought list was imported. We suppressed the damage, warmed a fresh sending domain over three weeks, and rebuilt the programme on consented signups only. Revenue passed the pre-collapse peak in month four.

Eight-month engagement · 2024–2025

−31%

Month-two churn

Cancellations clustered right after the second delivery. We added a recipe-led education sequence between deliveries one and three, plus a pause-instead-of-cancel offer triggered on billing-page visits. Retention held through the following quarter.

Twelve-month engagement · 2025

Figures are measured against a pre-engagement baseline agreed with each client at kickoff. Results vary by list quality, offer, price point and category — one account's outcome is not a forecast for another.

Services

Four things, and we do all four.

Most brands have a calendar and no flows, or flows nobody has touched since launch. We own the whole channel so the pieces actually talk to each other.

Process

Three phases. No six-week discovery.

We start by reading what your list already told you, then build, then keep tuning. You see campaigns going out inside the first month.

  1. 01

    Listen

We pull a year of sending history, audit authentication and list health, and interview whoever talks to your customers. You get a written read on what is costing you money before we touch anything.

    Weeks 1–2
  2. 02

    Build

Segments rebuilt on real behaviour, templates designed and tested across clients, core flows written and shipped, and the first campaign calendar agreed and running.

    Weeks 3–6
  3. 03

    Tune

Every campaign is a test with a hypothesis. Winners get more volume, losers get documented, and you get a monthly report on revenue per segment plus what we are trying next.

About

A small team that stays on your account.

Moos Media is six people in Austin. There is no account-management layer between you and the people writing your emails — the strategist who scoped your programme is the one you talk to a year later.

We started in 2021 after too many years watching good brands treat email as a newsletter. We only take on work where the list is real and consented, because everything else is a short-term trick that ends in a blocked domain.

We answer to revenue

Opens stopped meaning anything when Apple changed its privacy defaults. We report revenue per campaign and per segment against a baseline we agree before starting, so the number is checkable.

We protect your list

A list can be emptied in a quarter to make one month look good. We hold frequency where the data says it belongs and keep hygiene tight, because the channel has to still work next year.

We write things down

Every test, every decision and every flow is documented in your own workspace. If you take the programme in-house or move agency, you keep all of it — that is the point.

FAQ

The questions we actually get asked.

No padding, no soft-pedalling on cost or timeline — if you want the details behind any of this, ask on the call.

What does it cost?

Retainers start at $3,500 a month on a three-month initial term, and most programmes sit between that and $9,000 depending on send volume and how much creative we produce. Below $3,500 there is not enough room to do the audit properly, and the audit is what everything else depends on.

How soon do we see anything?

You get the written audit in week two and the first campaigns go out inside the first month. A fair revenue comparison needs six to eight weeks, because anything sooner is one campaign against a seasonal baseline. If deliverability needs repair first, add two to three weeks before volume can safely rise.

Which platforms do you work in?

Mostly Klaviyo and Braze, plus Customer.io and Shopify Email for smaller programmes. We work inside your account rather than moving you onto something of ours, and if a migration genuinely is the right answer we will say so and scope it as its own piece of work.

Who owns the list, the flows and the data?

You do, all of it, without qualification. Everything lives in accounts you own, we work in them under our own named logins, and if we part ways you revoke our access and nothing of yours leaves with us. Templates, flows and documentation are yours to keep.

What are the contract terms?

Three months to start, then month to month with 30 days' notice either side. We do not do twelve-month lock-ins, because an agency that needs one is usually solving for its own churn rather than your results.

Do you buy or rent lists?

No, and we will not send to one you bought. It burns your sending domain, it is illegal in most of the markets our clients sell into, and it does not work. If a bought list is already in your account, cleaning it up is part of the audit.
